What early access means

A working release built around revision.

SAM's early access release is not a declaration that every surface is finished. It is an operating phase in which the site and product are repeatedly reviewed, tested, revised, and rewritten as real use shows what needs to change.

The language, visual system, and interactions are being matured for an adult audience. Games are treated as intentional social spaces for competition, cooperation, conversation, and long-term progression, and are held to the same product standards as the rest of SAM.

Presentation quality is a release criterion, not a cosmetic afterthought. Because SAM spans games, research, social systems, agents, hardware, and creative tools, each public surface is expected to meet the highest practical standard available to the project for visual craft, responsiveness, readability, animation, audio, interaction polish, and performance. Functional-but-placeholder presentation is acceptable only during clearly marked development stages, not as a finished target.
